The Nikon 50mm f1.4 Nikkor is a standard focal length lens with a fast maximum aperture of f1.4. This was the last version of this famed lens that Nikon made with a Non-AI lens mount before evolving the lens to fit the new Nikon AI cameras. This version of the 50mm f1.4 Nikkor features an optical design of seven elements in six groupings and uses thinner glass optics for a reduction in size and weight. This lens is roughly 20% lighter than previous versions of the 50mm f1.4. It is an awesome lens to add to your Nikon kit and will especially excel at low light, indoor or shallow depth of field photography.
This lens has the Non-AI variant of the Nikon F lens mount. It is best suited for earlier Nikon SLR cameras like the Nikon F or early Nikkormats, but can be used on some later manual focus Nikon cameras that could support Non-AI lenses.
